I lost one on ebay that went for 330 because I got home late. However, it had the flange and the pedestal
I was hoping you got that one for $400 and that's what you were asking about.
Before I went the actual van turbo route, I did opt for a different exhaust housing (1.15) on my stock turbo along with the ATS ported housing. After that one blew up and was not salvagable (see Webshots for Blown Turbo pics), I went to a real van turbo. The difference in performance, in all aspects, between the van and a truck with 1.15 housing is almost nothing. They perform pretty much identically. So, if you can find a decent deal on just the housing, you could go that route as well and save some money. I'd rebuild the center section still though, with 100K on it, just for peace of mind.
If I did it all over again though and was going to keep stock injectors, I would put a 1.0 AR exhaust housing on the stock turbo, EBPV delete, rebuild the stock center section, put an ATS compressor housing and be done with it. The reason I went with thevan turbo is I had plans for B-Codes when I was looking at turbo upgrades. I it would support B Codes for a little while until I could get saved up for a bigger turbo but not be too laggy on stock sticks. So the van turbo was a tradeoff in both aspects because of my end goals. Other turbos would have worked too, but not for the price of a van turbo. I couldn't justify spending a bunch of money on a turbo that was basically going to be used as a stop-gap.
Now isn't that an eye opener for folks who don't want to shell out for a BB unit?
Certainly has my attention...
And I was going to shell out for a BB unit -- maybe I'll go this route as well. I know WhiteBuffalo has this in his, and with the SS sticks, he's awfully close to the 400 mark. That's why I'm real interested in what happens when he puts the Pulse in. Maybe SS sticks + van turbo + Pulse = 400rwhp (??).
now JT you got me thinkin....since I already have a 1.0 exhaust housing, I might just get an ATS shroud and be in the same boat. I have the ebpv ped delete and cover plate so if I understand it right I just need an ats and be done. (I dont want injectors anytime soon)

You will need injectors even with the Pulse to make 400.
If I remember correctly, 350RWHP is about all stock injectors will put out with big oil.
I bought my van turbo off Ebay for $450 it came with an ATS housing and EBPV delete adaptor. I believe Ryan Bean still sells van turbos for around $700, even though they are not listed on his web site anymore.

That's what I said: Van Turbo + SS (SingleShot Injectors) + Pulse. Do you think that'll get me to 400hp? That's my goal, and I'm not proud, so if a van turbo (saving me about a kilo-buck) will get me there, then I'll go that way...

Sorry for the , Aklim!!!
Yes! Stock fuel sys., stock hpop, van turbo, hybrid 530's, intake and exhaust will get you to 400.
