Mike --> Exactly... I never think of the little warning triangle thing until someone else mentions it. Thanks.
Curtis --> I'm still laughing about your post. I woke up, grabbed a cup of coffee, flipped open that now closed thread and about shot hot coffee out my nose. Nice one...
Pops --> Thanks!! I had my mouse of the rep thing for negative reps too, but couldn't either. I have this thing with anti-war people: As much as I don't agree with them, I don't think it's my place to tell them they can't say what they feel (as mis-guided as it might be).
Hurry, Go Read My Post On Page 5 Before They Delete It!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AMEN!!! Great job on that one! I just read that thread yesterday evening and could not belive she has had that kind of service and thats not just 1 steeler but several of them all thew way across the country! And after everything she and her husband have done to give us our freedom to post on this board and get treated like she has and the responces by some of those posts . Think I need to quit going over there!
It seems to me like there's been a lot of threads going on that wouldn't have lasted in the past, and posters saying things that would have got them time off. Seems like the moderators have become more lax in the last few months in the Superduty forum.
The thread is locked. Good, it was going nowhere in a hurry. I'm surprised I'm not banned, although I'll probably have to be on my best behavior for a while.
Well, I tried to send her a PM and she isn't receiving them so I will post it here in the off chance that she will stop by and read it.
Unbelievable!! I am stunned at some of the treatment that you recieved when you posted your plight on the superduty forum. I assure you, that is not indicative of the way most people on FTE (at least the 99-2003 7.3 liter forum) react to a person in need. I am disturbed and disgusted by the post's by Troy and a few others. I have not had the pleasure to serve my country in the way that you and your husband have, but I am deeply greatful and thankful that there are people like you two that are willing to stand up so that people like Troy can say the things he says and not have his head cut off for it.
I am sure I am not alone in my sentiments and I wish that there was something more that I could do for you other that offer my kind words and my sincere regret that you have had to endure what you have at the hands of the dealership and then the unkind words spewed by some here. I am saddened and disappointed by the whole mess.
Thank you for your service and Godspeed to you and your husband.

I like DoHC Mauraders annalasis of the situation using triage. If half the customers in line before the Military Wife knew of her situation, they would have let her go in front of them. But it probably was not made known to them by the service writer.
I too bought my 7.3 PSD for my wife 2 weeks before I deployed to Iraq, We traded in her car. I wanted a rock solid, bulletproof truck, that would perform for her no matter what. It did what I asked of it the whole year and a half I was gone. I owe the truck alot of thankyous. She put 30,000 trouble free miles on it. (She was house searching).
When I came home all it needed was a little TLC and the truck is still running great.
I am sorry I ever even looked at that thread. It was good to see you guys in there before they shut it down. What a damn shame... To leave a family on the road like that... Then to treat our Vets that way..Tell you what, before I had a family, I would have been calling one you guys up in Vegas for a beer, cause I would have been down there for the call out..The crazy thing about it, I think there was only three fools, maybe four, but they were the ones the stood out.
I have NEVER read a thread in this forum that would even come close to that. I can say that if I read something like that when I looked on here for the first time, I would have clicked off the site and not returned. The folks in this forum are just GREAT! Seems everyone is willing to help the person in need. I have read posts where people send parts to people in need and never look back. After reading those I ran into a post where someone needed/wanted a console. Guess what, I had one that I wasn't going to use. Did I bash them for asking where to find one? No, I helped them out. I know that someday someone will return the favor. I haven't really read any threads in the other forums above that compare to the ones on here, and when I do read one where someone is offering good advice, I usually recognize the name from this forum.
Wow is about all I can say. Jason and I were talking just yesterday about how great THIS forum is and how all of the folks here are top notch. Can't say that for some of the other forums I guess.
