Does anyone know what the compression on this engine would have been when new? It now has 141,000 miles and seems to run good. Ive been thinking of installing a remanufactured engine so I had a compression check done today just to see where it stood. Highest was 145# lowest was 120#. Time for a new engine?

You are still within wear limits, 25 percent difference between high and low. This would put your low limit at about 110. Unfortunately, the shop manual does not list a spec in psi. There is not enough information there to calculate it. Your high reading should be close.
I tested my 302 about a month ago and returned 160psi in all chambers within 5% tollerance. I have 100,000 miles on it. But I don't know what a new one would read.
