If you get a chance, please photograph the parts as you remove them. It'll help the rest of us who are faced with the same thing.

Should I fab up my own enforcement plate for the install? (I looked at the biggest plate E3TZ7K509B and it was around $150)

The last time I checked with Ford (in 2010) the biggest plate is no longer stocked.

I realize it has been 9 months since this was posted but I just looked....

Yes, the bracket for heavily-damaged firewalls (E3TZ-7K509-B) seems to be NLA and aftermarket or custom-made fab seems to be the only alternatives unless NumberDummy could perhaps find one (he has access to more resources than me).

But there are still around 12 places in the country offering the lighter-damage bracket (E3TZ-7K509-A).

FWIW.
