2001 F250, help
I've a 2001, F250 with a gas engine, standard transmission. Occasionally it decides it won't rev up and pull itself. It will pull itself along at a little better than a fast walk but bogs any furhter up the RPM scale. The Ford Technicians have been through this truck backwards and forwards. They and their Scanners can find nothing wrong. They have replaced pretty much everthing connected to the ignition electronics in this vehicle and the fuel pump three times. They thought it was the ECM then changed their minds and changed the third pump. They now say it's the ECM and they are unable to ssupply a rebuilt. Hence a new one which is extremely pricey.
One last symptom. This occurs after the engine has been revved above 4000 RPM and when it is fully warmed up.
Anyone with any ideas. I'm at a lose and it seems the technicians are as well.

Which could tell the computer that it is overheating....which just in case you didnt know, these modular motors have a safety feature in it, that if it overheats the computer will detune the motor severely.
Also even though our f150s use the same gas motors(ex. v10), this really should be posted in the F250/F350 section(unless yours is the F250 lightduty...?)
Again thanks for the help, there has to be an answer, but I seem to be walking by it.
