seriously though that semi would be worth the drive if the price ain't crazy. Do you know anything bout it I could prob rent the work semi for a reasonable price if you think it could be at all possible? where are they by the way?
In fairness to the owner of the yard, who has operated it for 35 years, these vehicles where not nearly the rarity they are now when he first got them.
My uncle's told me that thirty plus years ago they bought nice old cars for 30 to 100 bucks each, tore every removable piece of sheet metal off and proceeded to rat-bag them till the motors blew.
If they could not kill the engine on the weekend they would drain the oil and put a cinder block on the accelerator till she blew.
They are kicking themselves now, because some of those cars would be fairly valuable today.

i'd like to neuter some people with a dull rusty knife... talk about braindead??
I had thought maybe this had been a North American pastime in the sixties and early seventies. No? Any Boomers at the tail end of their fifties willing to testify to the practice?
Sweet pics I kinda have a soft spot for that 59 Mercury 2 ton.
I think that blue semi is a Corn Binder Almost thinking of inquiring about it, that be a awesome project.
Would it still be to far if you could get the semi and a 57 Mercury 2 ton with a y-block ,4 speed and 2 speed axle in the same trip?
A 57 is for sale locally for $750 and the semi could probably be had reasonable.
Just trying to fill your yard as full as some out here LOL.
Well thanks but too much hastle even if I'm able to borrow the semi still use a few hundered bucks of diesel then have to buy Mb. permits for it thats another 200. But the semi could fit them on easily. it's overwidth and the longest allowable length.
Hey Snowking, I phoned the guy with the semi. He says it is a White. Believes it to be a forties model, fairly complete, duals in back, old hoist.
He wants scrap price 300ish.
Googled " White super power" on google image and it popped right up. Hey that almost sounds racist!! Guess no truck company would call their model that now LOL.
