I checked the casting code of my 351w in the net, and The info I got from it was that it was a 1974, and originally for a Ford Galaxy. The casting number is D4AE-6015-AA-10.

I'd ask for the parts for the vehicle it's going in, things like exhaust manifolds, oil pan and dipstick and such were different for cars and trucks, so getting the 351 car parts won't help you.
My '77 LTD (same frame) has a 351W and it is front sump, My '73 Galaxie (note the spelling) is a 400 but front sump as well. All '73-78 full size sedans were front sump (a lot more before that were front sump, I just don't have literature to back that up). I can't say for sure on a truck that old but later ones would have been rear sump.
