Take a look at the fuel pump, if you notice a "disk" on top of it it's a cali. That's the easiest way. I'm sure there's a digit in VIN that would tell us too. Bill? Lol

larger injectors than a federal truck. cali has 120cc split shots and federal have 90cc single shots.

Don't the Cali's have slightly different PCM tuning as well for more efficiency?

They do have different tuning for the split shot injectors but it more for emissions than efficency. Meeting emissions doesn't always mean the vehicle is efficient. Split shot injectors size for size against single shot injectors will create less power and lower fuel economy but they will produce better tail pipe emissions because the pilot shot preheats the combustion chamber for the main injection. So some fuel is used up to create better emissions number but it doesn't make any power so therefore its less efficient.

Im jealous

I have a 97 with straight pipes an 80 horse superchip plug in, cold air, and a 10k mod and i still cant hit 20 pounds of boost. What the heck i cant believe this bs. Im sure this will all change on the upgraded turbo i stick in it with stage 1's. O and by the way my buddy cchildress got his truck back and it has stage threes intercooler 17* hpop and it is rediculous, but he doesnt have the intercooler hooked up yet because we are lookin for a 99 y pipe so his egt's move about as fast as his boost guage.

Don't worry Joe can't hit 20 psi either. Maybe it a superchip thing. LOL

When you get some bigger injector you will blow 20 psi away!
