Source for an engine Master Rebuild kit

I spend most of my time at the 48-60 forum. Need some direction on where to buy a master rebuild kit for my 223 six. Just stripped the block. I will be bringing it and the crank to a local auto machine shop for inspection and boiling out. I expect it will have to be slightly bored and the crank turned to clean up. Once I know the over size dimensions I will order a rebuild kit. I searched google. Found Greenbay Parts World, Ron's Precision Machine and Performance Auto Parts. The kit I want goes from $680. to $869 at these vendors. Have any of you guys used these vendors? How was the quality and service? Any other supplier I should know about? Thank you.

It took some time and effort but for my recent rebuild I got most of the parts off eBay and from Rockauto. Wound up with the exact combo of premium valves, cam, bearings, pistons, gaskets, etc that I wanted and still came off at the same price as buying a pre-packaged rebuild kit with stock grade parts.. If you do want to go the "kit" route from a convenience standpoint I'd recommend Northern Auto Parts. Their kits are all quality parts and reasonably priced [about $300 for their master kit]. Plus everyone I've ever talked with there actually knew their s**t.

Whatever you do make sure to have your machine work done BEFORE ordering any parts to make sure you get the correct bearing and piston sizing.

Your machine shop might be able/willing to order a parts kit for you...check with them.
