I finished several maintenance items this weekend; ball joints, wheel bearing, shocks, and brakes. I also confirmed my ticking is due to broken exhaust manifold studs on the passenger side. Reading the related posts here, it appears that correcting this could snowball into a lot of work.
My question is what if any damage will occur if I do not correct this problem? If I tear into this project and can not get a stud out, can it be corrected without pulling the head? Overall, it does not look like a bad project but I want to be prepared for the worst case.
