speedo cable help

speedo cable help
i need to know how to remove it from the speedo.....i got the plastic clip off.....what now?

You are supposed to pull plastic sleeve off the speedo head as you squeeze the retaining clip.

i sprayed some lithium grease in the cab end of it and i put it back in today and now it doesnt even move.....

Sounds like you didn't line up the cable insert properly.

you need to remove the gear at the end of the cable in the transmission and pull the whole cable out an regrease it

Glad I came across this because in a few minutes I was going to go install my new speedo cable. I was wondering about the grease on the inside also.

They make speedo lube made specifically for speedo cables and it comes in small tube.
