Ok.. So, through Uhaul I got some NOS wiper arms.
Went to the local yard to find some OEM style aluminum TRICO wiper blade holders. Out of 11 trucks, I couldn't find *ANY*. Every truck had weird rusty wiper blades.
I *did* however find some TRICO wiper blade holder from a 79? Chevy P/U. These look very very similar to the Ford arms. Just 1" longer (they take a 16" vs 15" trico insert. part # is one digit off, so says Rockauto).
So here are my questions.
1. Worth a shot? Holding them to the windshield, they seem to follow it nicely. They look like the Ford arms, same curvature, etc. the 'top' has more of a curve than the bottom'.
They fit the Ford arms, as seen here.
2. If not, are these TRICO wiper holders available? I want the OEM style, not the generic black Auto Zone style wipers (That's what started this)
3. What is the technical name for the wiper blade holder? lol.
