leaking oil
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 18-Dec-02 AT 09:10 AM (EST)]I have a 351w that has just been rebuilt. it is leaking oil of what I thought to be the front and rear seal. but when i had the guy who built the engine look at it he said that it was just the harmonic balancer leaking because it is bad, can that even leak or is he just saving himself

Sounds to me like the guy cut a couple of corners and doesn't want to admit it. Hold his feet to the fire a little while. Allow him enough shop time to fix it. If he's a pro he can take care of the problem. If he's not a pro help him with it. You'll both learn a little something and can stay friends.
