This source book lists both "gross"(bhp),and "net" horsepower&torque figures. The "gross" rating for a stock 289-2V is 200@4,400 rpm, and 282 lb./ft. of torque@2,400rpm.The 'net" ratings are listed as 150@4,400rpm & 242 lb./ft. of torque@2,400rpm.Bore x stroke is 4.00"x2.87",and compression ratio is listed as being 9.3:1. Doesn't list size of the 2 barrel carb, but it's probably around 350cfm. Hope this helps.
Is that for a truck 289? Mine are '66 and '68 broncos.
What I got from net surfing was 158hp@4400rpm (truck) and 195@4600 rpm (auto) (not that net surfing is very reliable :-).
I'll repost the CFM question separately.
Thanks,
-steve
