I'm thinking of selling my F-150 4X4 5.4 gas pig and getting a Ranger extended cab. My main concern is interior legroom and overall comfort since I am 6' 2" and 225 lbs. I would like to hear from any 6 ft plus guys with regard to ingress, egress, and comfort on longer highway trips. I also have an Aerostar van that has a lot of legroom and driver comfort. Just wondering how the Ranger might compare to the Aerostar. I'm aware that it isn't as roomy as the F-150 but at some point a vehicle just becomes too uncomfortable to drive. Thanks.
I'm 6'1 and fit in mine comfortably. I don't have much headroom though, maybe a half inch if I sit up the way I like. I have the extra cab , it has enough legroom. Longest trip I've taken was 300 miles, it rides ok on the highway probably not much different than your 150. It's easy to get in and out of, easier than my 250. Don't know what you get for mileage, my winter mileage averages 16-20 on stock ranger 4L 5spd.
I’m 6’ even, 210ish and I don’t have a problem with my reg cab. I drove it on a trip from Tampa to Charlotte to Wichita Falls, Tx and back to Tampa fairly comfortable. The only thing is I have vinyl seats and even with a cloth seat cover I got a little sweaty on the long stretches. I might have to fix the AC this sometime summer.
I tell you though, I traded my F350 for this Ranger as a daily driver. The little truck gets no respect on the highway. With the 1 ton I could bully my way through traffic by just filling up somebody rearview mirror with my front bumper. Nobody cares about the baby truck.
