They vary somewhat with the different suspension packages, as well. Snow plow prep and other hd front springs make 'em a little taller. I think the gas engine trucks, especially the V8's, are enough lighter to sit a little taller than the diesels as well. Probably some difference in '99 -'04's and '05 - ups because the front suspension is entirely different, too.
my dads 08 f350 sits a couple inches higher then my 03 f350 in the front end and i think his back end is higher to, might have something to do with larger factory tires and wheels
My friend and I bought 2005 trucks within a month or so of each other, his a diesel F350 and mine a gas F250. His sat an inch higher in the rear and an inch lower in the front. The trucks were both Lariats with the same options, except he had the moon roof. He had installed a fifth wheel hitch in the rear, but I was surprised it sat only one inch higher in the rear (I didn't think the hitch would weigh enough to squat it an inch).
