I'll add in another vote for the Liberators. I have a pair on my truck, and had a set on my car for the winter. My courier will probably get a set if they make them small enough.
They have been on my truck for two years now, no probs, and they held up decent on the car. I did what I could to wear them down, with burnouts, donuts, and drifting around on ramps in a full size car, the rears still had some pretty decent tread when I sold the car.
BFG is about the best off/road tires on the market, as for street tires, there are a host of good ones. It will boil down to personal preference and what you can get a good deal on. I've gotten good service from a couple of lesser known tires, kelly springfield and cooper.
