Maybe someone here can help me.....Where in the heck can i find a flywheel for my engine? Ive searched everywhere and i cant find one...any ideas? Its a 79 model 400 by the way.

 

jegs carry them centerforce 176 tooth but expensive 330$. Chek with your local scrap yard.

 

should i trust a junkyard flywheel on an essentially new motor? i havent spared any cash on the rest of the thing so i dont think i should on this either...
so is a 176 tooth flywheel what i need? From what i understand the 351m and 400 flywheels also have a 28oz imbalance, is that true?

 

Oops, saw flywheel and thought flexplate. Glad I'm running a C6.

You know whats bad is i work for Advance Auto Parts and a 400 flywheel is not even a part that i can get at the store level...

 

I can get you a brand new flywheel for $199.
