what about modifing any diesel, to burn veggie....to me law is discrimintive, only applying to a certain few, penalizing anybody with a new vehicle...that has done adjustments. When will EPA go after gassers that put out carbon monoxide...people KILL themselves with that exhaust...it's all a crock, anyway to get into your pocket. The law is useless, black smoke still comes from the track, pulls and off road ventures,
that is still legal, smoke is smoke no matter where it comes from. SO why ULSD....or isn't ULSD enough, dosen't it burn clean enough to not need a DPF?
We can agree to disagree.
You, or "they" (whoever you are refering to) can say or think what you want, but I guarantee any decent counsel will get the judge to get that case tossed out before it reaches his calender.
Do you know what the tuner companies were warned about at SEMA? EGR delete on diesels. Take a look at the big companies now... they aren't advertising it anymore, and I doubt they're doing it now. In the case of the O2 eliminators, they fought back and still lost.
I'm not saying products can't be sold, I'm saying companies need to be very careful about how they are marketed. For example, you'll often see tuners marketed as increasing on-highway mileage, but at the same time they'll say "for off-road use only." Its a thin line they are walking.
A good disclaimer and signed release is a good start.

There simply is no way to enforce a law that isn't intentionally or clearly broken. Banks for example, sells his stuff for off road only use. The liability is no longer his once the sale is complete as long as the product is labeled "off road use only". If the customer drives the nations highways with products expressly intended for off road use, then the customer is liable.
Until a law is passed saying that the world must now rid itself of tuners and modules, there is no clear and concise way to enforce it.
Shall Summit Racing Equipment, or Jegs now close their doors because they have catalogs stuffed full of off road racing products for sale?
Should Good Year Tire & rubber close it's doors because they sell racing tires that may fit your truck, but are intended for the track?
It's not the manufacturers that hold liability, it's the consumer.
.
Is that right, Tell that to Cat ( who was sued by a girls family because she was run over and killed in india trying to stop a doxer from running over a house or some such ****)
Tell that to the gun manufactures that get sued for the untimely death of some ****** that breaks into your house and get his butt killed.
Do I go on. To say that the manufacturers responsibility ends at time of sale is just plain wrong.
Your senerio involves personal injury attorneys that you see advertise at noon on TV.. I don't think any of them work for the EPA, because they would have to take a 95% pay cut to do so. There's no way, especially if the tuner manufacturer makes the customer sign a waiver.
You guys can go on and argue this without me...
I'm comfortable I know what I'm talking about..
Has anyone posted a way to covert yet? I don't want to try something and screw up the truck. Is there a system to follow ? I am tired of the price of fuel now and want to do it.
I'm having a 5" down pipe back strait pipe made for my truck right now, hopefully it will be done by the end of the week. I think I got a good deal on a custom DPF delete tuner, free!! I'll get some videos up the day it's done.
