Axracer said " IMHO the danger from critters getting yah is highly overrated. Most are much more afraid of you than you are of them and would rather not share space with you."
I got news for you Chuck! Even a plain old daddy long legs or a wee garter snake cross my boot and I'm screaming like a little girl! I once almost dislocated my shoulder trying to get a spider off my other shoulder!
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!
(Good thing this thread isn't about the most unusual junk yard find. Pretty sure I'd have ya's all beat! Think about the worst thing you could possibly find in a junk yard. They had a whole team in there looking but haven't found her yet.....no foolin!) Guess I won't be getting any more parts there....also splains why he don't let ya wander on your own.....
That would be the dead guy under a cast iron tranny who went parts hunting alone. "hell, I can get this 4 speed out by myself now so I can get home for dinner since I told nobody where I was going".

We have wasps, not many bees, and a major problem with black widow spiders. I use Wally worlds carburator cleaner (99cents) and go around and squirt them at night when they come out to eat. I usually kill anywhere from 10-15 spiders every week. Have been bite twice. You get flu like symptons. BTW- carb cleaner works great on wasps too. They drop when they get hit.
C'mon Man.... you got some serious critters in Santa Clarita...... I spent most of my first 25 years in the Chatsworth hills and it's all good.
Spider bites are different for people like Bee stings. Fortunately, I can handle a good dose of Bee or Spider but I have friends that will simply die in an hour if not treated.
The Killer Bee thing is beginning to get scary. A family in Arizona was attacked last week and while they made it to the house, their two dogs were completely covered and died slow. It broke my heart since I always have to have a few Dogs in my life.
It's not often mentioned but I think if you own a vintage Truck, God requires you to have a good Pup or two, or ten......... If you're Dogless..... WTF ???
Get with the program !
