Tranny help?

okay so heres the deal. I have to replace my 1989 ford f150 5.0L rear engine seal. So unhooked the batery to take the starter off. Then i unhooked all the tranny. But nowt hat i have it all unhooked, im not 100% sure what the best way is to pull it back. Is there some sort of secreT? because i have tried pulling, pushing, taping, prying and it doesnt want to budge! I am 17 im not 100% sure what to do,so if you have any tips at all, help me please!

Is it a standard or auto?

If it is an automatic, did you pull the torque converter bolts to the flex plate?

I assume you have prop shaft/shafts and rear X-member disconnected so I would look for a bellhousing bolt that you have missed.
