Anyone know how to turn it off really quick if .. say for instance someone has really fat little fingers and seems to hit it when pulling the keys out of his / her pocket?
Maybe if one waits long enough it will turn off but so far the only way I've found is to go and start the truck. Makes a hell of a racket though ....
yup, hitting it again or some fobs will deactivate with the unlock button too.
mine is quite interesting when the kids hit the button and 120 psi of air goes through 4 horns......
Funny story- my old 95 had a worn out ignition to the point that I could pull it out when the truck was running. One night (for reasons I can't remember now) I pulled the key out while I went in to Papa Murphy's to grab a pizza and left the truck running for my mom and wife. My mom accidentally bumped the door lock and didn't know it. When I came out, I had a pizza in one hand and a bottle of pop in the other, so mom tried to open the door for me- when she pulled the inside handle it set the panic alarm off. I fumbled around and grabbed the keys and hit the button, which set off a second panic alarm apparently because it started going twice as fast! (lights flashing and horn honking like crazy with everyone inside watching me wondering WTF was going on). Stabbed the button a second time and it finally shut off... what a deal that was.
