6637 arived today

i opened the box and thought to myself no way is that thing going in there! but 45 min later, a little choping on the old air box mounts and its in. went for a drive. i heard my waste gate dump though its unpluged. anyone know why this could be?

If you are talking about the improved "hiss" when you back off the accelerator it's not your Wastegate, it's just excess boost bleeding back off through the intake tract.
They like to call it "Darth Vader talking to ya!!"

Yup. There's no air box to act like a muffler. The sound you're hearing is normal after adding a 6637.

no, im not i hear that too. the noise i am talking about is while driving when it goes into o/d the engine bogs and i hear the boost dump,

The tension on the spring on your wastegate may be too loose. I'm not 100% on that. Someone "in the know" will chime in here in a few minutes.
