Since buying a different set of wheels and tires(20x10 wrapped in 305/55 Toyo's) I have major clearance issues in the front. The tires rub at the rear inner fender and are within 1/2" of touching the fender at the bottom rear corner. They also rub on the front air dam on the lower corners, which isn't as critical, they can be trimmed. I installed both front tires tonight and cycled them back and forth while checking for clearance issues.
I also decided to take out the tape measure and check the clearance from the top of the tire to the fender. The passenger side has 1.5" more clearance than the driver side, which tells me that the springs are probably due to be replaced.
Do a searchy on this one. I have about ten thread subscriptions in my User CP I will go look for.
The moral of the story:
Shackles - $50 - Cheap and get the job done. Mess with suspension angles
Add A Leafs - $100 - Cheap and get the job done w/o messing with angles. You will lose ride quality.
Shackles and block things up front - $200 - Keep your ride quality and lift the truck, but retain your old droopy springs.
Spring Packs - $250 - You will lose ride quality, but it is a "better" lift than just add a leafs.
Lift Springs - $250 or more??? - Better ride than add a leafs, but not factory. Great for your droopy spring deal.
You know what, I think that is a summary of all the threads. I am going to pass on looking up my links.
