Smoke Odor Removal

I am wondering if anyone knows of a product that can completely remove cigarette smoke odor from my recently aquired F250. I have done some research but want advice from people who have had good luck with any particular product. Thanks!

Best thing I have ever used is Ozium. You can get it at wal-mart.

Pay most of your attention to the headliner. Use something like Febreeze on it.

Clean all of the vinyl, plastic and leather surfaces with Simple Green or something similiar.

Vaccuum and shampoo then re vaccuum the carpet and other cloth surfaces.

Good luck.

This worked great for me too. Give it a week or two to work. I never even used up a whole spray bottle of it.

Ozium does work, as does Febreze.

I've never had Febreze work long-term, it wears off. Also, don't like the smell of it.

Too bad their isn't an easy way to get that gross cigarette stench out of the vents. As soon as you turn air to the registers you'll quickly remember that it was owned by a smoker.

Best method ... find yourself an "odor bomb" (it's like a fogger) tuned to cig smoke and let it off inside. These things can be tricky to find ... try eBay ort a professional detailer website.

Next, go to Lowe's and pick up this stuff called "ZorbX" .. it's in a spray bottle in the cleaning supplies section. Spray your headliner, seats, carpet, & everything real good with this stuff and follow the directions.

Smell will be all but gone ... except on hot humid days ... nothing will take care of it all except replacing the interior!

Smoke Odor Removal

Thanks for all the advice! I bought some spray caled "Vamoose" on the internet, soaked everything down (including inside the vents) and closed up the truck for a couple days. It worked wonders! I did have to go over everything plastic to clean up a tacky film it left behind, but that was easy because I had already washed everything down. Time will tell...it's been a cold winter this year in Maine...mud season and warmer days will be the test to see if the smoke smell comes back. By the way...with shipping the Vamoose cost $28. That is much cheaper than having a local detailer do the job.
Thanks!
