machining prices
I'm just about ready to take some parts down to the machine shop for my 400 that I'm building. I would like to know what to expect price wise. About how much does it cost to have a crank turned .010 under? What about removing/installing cam bearings, cleaning, magnafluxing, boring and honing a block? Also, how much to have pistons installed on the rods? Thanks!!

I had my 351m done two years ago for $1100. I took the engine out, they bored and machined everything. They rebuilt the heads and put in a new cam, timing set, rockers, lifters, all that stuff. The rebuilder gave me a 36,000 mile warranty. Hope it helps. Good luck

for me on my I6 it was
$85 for crank grind
$10 per cylinder bored (.030)
$35 cam bearings
~$400 for engine kit(gaskets, pistons,bearings, rings,cam,oil pump, ext..)
I took it apart myself and assembled it myself.
