waterpump would cause you to run hotter. Your symptoms are of a stuck open t-stat.

I might have it fixed. I did the flush and fill again today with the previously new installed cap, and t-stat. I kept filling and opening the cap, burping the hose,go and drive it, add a little more fluid. It kept taking more fluid and I got 140 degree air out of the vent a couple of times. Top rad hose is nice and hot, both heater hoses heating up good. I dont know, it seem good, but I thought I had it fixed once or twice before. And all of a sudden little or no heat. Maybe the fluid level wasnt up high enough and it had air in it. I would still like to know what temp others are getting out of their vents on high heat. Just curious

Make sure you check the coolant level every couple of days for the next few weeks. It takes time to bleed all the air out of the system.
