We took it out and drove it around and 2nd gear doesnt seem to be there. 1st feels good and same with 3rd but no 2nd
Buy a manual and look up the procedure for adjusting the second gear band. A 462 is a rare bird nowadays, it has not been used since 1967-68 ish. Your front hubs are worth a grip of cash. If you swap them out for a set of warns, make sure you keep them. Always check the torque of the retaining bolts, external style hubs have a tendancy to back out.
