as much as some of the new stuff is better in a lot of ways?, you just cant beat that new truck smell ! ,
it all comes down to a personal preference with me ,
back when I was a kid I loved the 73-79 F series trucks, they just had toughness, character, and personality about them !
I could not get one back then and through the years I kind of forgot about them and got into building Hot-Rods and street cars,
Until last year when I ran across a rusty 78 bronco for sale with a blown motor.
and all the old feelings came rushing back like someone opened the flood gates!
I had to have it ! so I sold my 65 Falcon street gasser project and bought it, I have done a lot of work to the body with making patch panels out of sheet metal and put my 351w motor that I built for my falcon in it but have not finished it yet,
then I saw a 76 4x4 f 250 highboy on craigslist, I had to have it too?
so I traded my 96 s 10 4x4 blazer for it. it too needs work?
then I saw a 78 4x4 f 150 parts truck with a lift kit and a 460 with dual 4 v high rise in it for $300 once again I had to have it,
so now I have three trucks sitting out here and they all need work???
this is like crack?? its a decease, an itch you have to scratch.
do they make an oitment you can put on this???
all in all I would not change a thing, I figure out of all three trucks I can make two really nice ones, I have alot of great parts here. I can not wait until spring hits and I can start working on these trucks
the Ol Lady said if I bring home another stray truck she was leaving? Hmmmm decision's decision's LOL
anyways when I saw you guys talking about loving these old trucks I just had to jump in and tell my tale. it really is an obsession ! take care guys good luck with your trucks, all your pictures truley inspire me
