Allright usually i read other threads but this time i need help. i have the banks power package which includes the new intercooler with new hoses and coupling hoses. well this morning the transition angled coupling from the discharge of my turbo to the intercooler busted and banks no longer makes this piece and does not have it in stock anymore. can anybody help?
sorry to hear this man... i'd just call and raise hell i'd make them replace it or re-emberse me some way or the other tell them if not you're gonna trash there company anywhere that you can haha.... i'm asssuming you contacted them and they told you they couldn't do anythin right?
How old of a system are we talking about here? Maybe its something Banks was having issues with for this reason in the first place and thats why they stopped selling it. Then they should provide you with a replacement part that will work on your setup.
its an '05 banks setup. and when i called the said it was discontinued in '06 and tried to sell me a different pipe/hose setup for like 250 bucks. the original hose is a 2.5" to 3.5" 33degree angled transition hose>>>>>>>impossible to find
i havent tried those guys yet fps. and fordextreme to answer your ? no i dont have a part number. i was thinkin about maybe gettin a muffler shop to frabicate me a metal piece and using cuttin off the ends on the busted piece to install it. can u guys think of anything that might impact my engine or any other ideas?
hey there chapo this is cowling...look at the thread on here for blown turbo hoses and there is a link in there for a company that makes those pieces...maybe that could help you out.
yeah i looked but they dont have the 3.5 to 2.5 elbow that i need. i dont even care about the 33 degrees. im pretty sure i can make the 45 work hell even the 90 degree bend might. but i think i found it on www.frozenboost.com . but thanks man. hey u part of the sc chapter yet?
What is there warranty like? I thought they stood behind there products with a serious warranty. I'd keep calling and make a big stink about this with some higher-ups there.
i talked to the banks guy, then another guy, and finally another guy and kaput! they suck. i bought my truck with the banks already on it but when i make the next purchase those guys are definetly not where im goin. i had to buy a hose from another company that doesnt really fit the way its supposed to but it works because some retards decided to not carry parts for products they sell and then when u need their help all they got is full pockets of your money and "im sorry" on their lips. good riddance!
