Dave..you will only feel it if the TC is locked..I have the SP set up as well. i like the fact that it is always ready to be used..just let off the go peddle to activate it..I use it every time I take her out.. I live on the mountains up here..so hills are all over the place...found out you need to set the unlock speed then set the lock speed..mine locks at 30 right now and unlocks at 25..I hardly ever use my foot brake any more..set every thing to the speed you like...then turn on the brake...do a wot run..when you get to 80 MPH then let off the go peddle..the EBPV will close 2 seconds after you let off the go peddle.. the truck should start to slow down faster when you here it start to hiss...also make sure the actuator on the pedestal is not leaking...if it is..it will not hold the valve closed tight...
I will give that 80ish run a try today if I get the chance. I like the fact that if you are using the cruise and need to get it slowed down quickly, push and hold for 2 seconds the OFF cruise button and since your foot is OFF the go pedal, the valve closes right then. I guess along with punching the brake pedal it slow you down pretty quickly....we will see....Kwik I like the way you talked about holding back the load rather than using it to stop. That is what I was mainly after anyway, maintain the speed going down the mountains rather than using it for a panic stop.....I hope it works as well as Ron's and yours. Just additonal peace of mind...Like everything I do, I study it to death before I dive in and do it....
