i decided to make it a semi stock driver for now. a bit of research proved that the 2150 2bbl on there is a great carb, and i can still use my intake while saving $$ to put towards the body.

I hear where you coming from Sherm, seems like you have a good plan unless you get real serious about burning extra $ on parts and using alot of extra fuel.
Later on you can always add the power on the 83 but for now if ain`t broke don`t fix.

no lumpy cams or nothing for now. maybe headers seeing the exhaust needs done anyway, dual exhaust, i'll put the intake on there, and run the stock carb. my biggest worry right now is not knowing how much this baby is going to cost...its only 10 weeks away

Yeah its getting to be closer and closer, you must be getting excited!

From what what womans sister has always told us, babies in the first year dont really cost much. Its after a year or two when they really start growing that you g through a ton of cloths and etc.

New babies aren't that expensive, but it depends what you need yet, car seat $50 used, diapers $13.00 for 40 last about 5 days, wipes $13 for 300, clothes, blankets and other stuff.

Good stuff, your carb will be easy to rebuild, just take your time and use lots of carb cleaner and air.
