Welcome to FTE !

BUT, You have typed in Upper case ( All Caps)
**Please** refrain from posting in all caps.
For one thing it is Very Difficult for some people to read.
(i'm one of them )
The other is , On the internet it is considered Yelling.
Not everyone knows this.
Once people see upper case they usually pass on it.
You will notice everyone else types in Lower case for these reasons.
You may edit your post to lower case within an hour of posting.
Thank you for your consideration.

how much horsepower?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-Mar-02 AT 06:54 PM (EST)]Hi,
Could someone tell me approx. how much horsepower and torque this combo will have. And estimated compression ratio. 400 with Ohio piston flattops comp 268h-10 cam, Edelbrock performer manifold and Edelbrock 600cfm carb and .0025 shaved off the stock 78cc heads. Also has a 3 angle valve job and mild port work.
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
Mark
PS
I fixed your post so maybe Dennis will have intelligent info to relay to you.

Well i ran what i could into the desktop dyno 2000. im guessing the milling and those pistons will put you right at 9.5:1 (someone correct me if im wrong), so i put that in along with small tube headers. it showed peak hp to be 377@5000 and torque was 440@3500. that should give you an idea at least.

I believe the max you can mill the heads would be .040 to .060, but you will need to consider two things: First, you may need to mill the intake manifold to keep port alignment correct. Milling the heads, in effect, causes the manifold to sit "higher". As for pushrods, no, you won't need new pushrods unless you get crazy with the milling. However, you will need the appropriate rocker stand shims to compensate for head milling. If you mill .030, then you will need .030 shims to keep rocker at the correct height. hope this helps.- Don
