My check engine light goes on and the od light flashes as soon as I start, but it goes of as soon as I barely touch the gas pedal, then when I let off the pedal it comes right back on and then the od flashes, any ideas?

Reason: wanted to add to original
Sounds like a short in the wiring harness on the steering column. To me. I had a similar problem with my "submarine package" project. I unhooked all the connectors, sprayed them out with electric cleaner, rubbed in some dielectric greese, and plugged them back up, good as new, no more light problems. Best part was it was inexpensive. I also disconnected the cluster, and did the same to it. I would recommend of course disconnecting your batteries if you do this.
I checked a few of the connections seem ok with check further tommorow in the day, I mean I only have to touch the pedal with my finger maybe pushing down an 1/8 and it turns the light off then back on when I let go, definetly seems electrical

If the ivs is the switch at the bottom of the pedal I don't even have to to depress the pedal enough to activate it to turn the check engine light off just finger pressure shuts it off
