I own a 1979 Ford F350 4x4 with a bored 351 windsor and I cannot find any headers that will fit. They either hit the clutch linkage on the drivers side or the frame on the passenger side. Anyone else has a 351 windsor in a 73-79 Ford f-series that know of headers that will work?
i'm sorry to say i cant help but... some one should put out a list of what headers actually fit what trucks or cars. cause i've had to order 4 different makes of headers to find one that would fit. its rediculous! When i orderd headers for my cougar, i got the right one after 2 try's ... and i still had to put a couple dents in the right side to fit around a steering bushing/greasboot. you could even by two different brands and when you get them they're both totaly different.
Headers off of a small bronco will not work in theory they should work but the driver side header dumps out right on the drive shaft. I gave up trying to find a set and just stayed with the manifolds.
Check out this page from summit. You may be able to use the Flowtech headers, I believe the driver side 4X4 header dumps similar to stock manifolds and should clear your clutch linkage and other parts. http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...115+4294889096
