I am looking for headers for a 1968 ford f100 with a 351 windsor and a 4 on the floor manual transmission. Does any one have any pointers on a good set or where to look?
As you may know the 351W was never offered in this series. A few FTE'ers in the past have navigated the uncharted waters but no one to my recollection has ever documented what worked and what didn't.

I THINK 302 headers will fit. Worth a try for sure. You can buy a set from summit or jegs and if they don't fit you can send them back.
I tried this on a 69. The deck is higher on the 351W and the collectors would not clear the 11" bell housing. If you had an auto or the 10-1/2" bell housing I don't think you would have a problem. I tried three different brands an none would clear. I bought a set of shortys and the left one wouldn't clear the clutch bell crank pivot.
The 351W having a one-inch taller deck height than a 302 will likely require splaying out the collectors to clear the bell. Meaning, the head tubes need to be angled outwards to produce the required clearance. I'd prolly pie-cut the head tubes, splay them out, and re-weld.
Perhaps 351W headers for 88 (?) to 96 *might* be better candidates?

The 351W was first put into the Ford trucks in 1980.
I don't know how close the Bullnose ('80-'86) frames are to a Bumpside but, may be dimensionally closer than the '87-'96 frames (?).
One major difference I'm aware of is the placement of the steering gear box. On a Bumpside, it's behind the crossmember. On a Bullnose, it's located in front of the crossmember.
I'm heavily kicking around the idea of fuel injecting a 351W I have so, this is something I'm going to have to work out with my '69 F100.

I have a 351W in a 68 with a c4. I tried some shorty headers that were for a GT Mustang. The drivers side was right against the power steering box (from a 76) and I thought the heat might cause a problem so I didn't use them.
The 72 came with a 302 or so I have been told so ordered a set of headers for a 72 with a 302 and a standard transmission. I will give them a try and let you guys know what happens! Should be in sometime next weekend.

Yes I am in 101st. Thank you, im glad to see so many veterans on here.
I used JBA long tubes for 65-79 mustangs because of the bigger 1 3/4 primaries and being stainless steel. I had to modify my z bar by moving it back about 2-3 inches, and spaced the motor up 3/16 to clear the steering box. All of this is with a 302 block though. Curious to see your results.
I have a 351W in my 71. I do not know the brand, but I will tell you they point right at the transmission cross member. The result is an awkward exhaust pipe.
