Cold

Hopefully coon sees this but maybe ya'll can help me. I did a 10k mod coons way today and i love it! but my ques is my truck sits all day at school for about 7 hours and when its cold will the truck run ok? i don't have the mod on a switch its on all the time.

Yep, it will run fine. You may notice a little more smoke on the cold start because of the increased icp.

ok and should i worry bout getting guages? it still reads the usual temp with the stock engine temp guage.

Gauges are a very good idea. The Exhuast temps won't affect the coolant temp especially not on the stock (JUNK!) gauge.

The engine temp is going to remain the same with or without the 10 k. The reason that you might have more smoke is because there is more fuel entering the combustion chamber than the computer thinks.

EGT might be a problem is your towing some good loads. You should be ok with a free flowing exhaust, but I'd still plan on getting those gauges.

yup, i agree with them on the gauges, they are always good to have. your truck should start just fine when its cold, it will probably smoke a little more but you dont have to worry about it not starting, i have never had that problem and i am running the chip with a 14.7k resistor
