Clutch release arm return spring

Can anyone who has a 56 (or similar) F-100 with a stock standard transmission provide a picture of how the clutch release arm return spring should be connected? The parts catalog shows a long spring but doesn't show what the far end connects to. The maintenance manual has a small picture that shows a shorter spring connected to a bracket that looks like it might be bolted to the bellhousing or ???

Look in your parts catalog for the illustration of this basic part number: 7542.

The "Clutch Return Spring Bracket" bolts to the frame rail, the spring (7523) attaches to this bracket (7542) at the front, and the clutch equalizer arm (7528) at the rear.
