Clutch return spring

Coming from the clutch release lever, where is the best place to attach the other end of my clutch return spring to ensure it brings the pedal back off of the floor?

Most that I've seen hook to the engine mount tower. There should be a small notch on the edge for the spring to rest in.

my truck had a hanger off the frame for the return spring... it looked factory, so that's where i hooked mine to!

Hmmm..mine must have fallen off...never seen a hanger lol On the tower, I hooked the spring on the forward facing edge of the drivers side tower. The pedal always came back up, no problem.

I've work on these old ford trucks ford over 25 years, the ones I've worked on were 65-79

mostly, and I have seen them hooked to the motor stand ,and also hooked to the Holes

that are in the crossmember under the motor stand, pick a hole on the crossmember ,or

hook it to the motor stand !
