do yall have anything like mudfest in FL in the LA?
Looking at some of the pictures and videos of Mud fest, it reminds me of Duhon's mudhole in Abbeville, La on a smaller scale.
I like Duhon's b/c it has a dirt drag and some impressive trucks race just about every event, and a bog. It isn't as big as mudfest again, but then too there aren't nearly as many people in the hole. I like it, I've gone 3 times and watched all 3. I was suposed to go once in my Bronco, but it got cancled.... so I went somewhere else and did some trails and holes and broke my Bronco.
They didn't keep up with it as much last year so they ended up canceling most events, but they used to have about 2 events(suday thing) a month in the spring and summer time.
I played at a place in North LA last year. It was an old crawfish pond. More water than mud. I did find the big hole that the warned me about and had to get towed out.
Like I said, small scale, and they have more events(not just a semi anual thing, so no big bulk of people all on one day).
A guess would be upper hundreds.
Usually have around 20 trucks dragging, and about 20 trucks that stay in the mud.
There are more trucks that go into the mud, but a lot are one pass things, and there could be about 50 trucks that go in max. Then they have a good bit of people watching. Last time I went, we BBQ'ed. But they do have a pretty good consesion stand.
They have places for stock trucks to play and get covered and places for trucks with 44s to get stuck.
They changed the mud hole the last time I went and the 'bad' holes from other years were nothing last time, and some ok/fun spots were bottomless pits.....
Guess a couple people would have to drive around and get stuck so I'd know where to go.
