Hey guys.. im getting the hang of this!! haha.. Anway we have completely rewired 5 of our trailers.. The one I am having probs wit now, is a 23' with brakes. I have the controller set in the truck, and all new lights and signals work. My question is, comming from the two drums which are set with brakes, there are two wires sticking out. I know one is the power for the brakes, and the other is the ground. Problem is, they are both the same color. Is there a way which I can tell which is which without taking everything apart? the wires are hard to get to, so I dont want to climb under the trailer and just keep doing trial and error. Thanks!

this one i think is best asked in the trailer and towing forum. here is a shortcut to it.
Use either wire for ground. Both wires go to the brake actuator coil, so it doesn't matter.
Most trailers I have seen with brakes, do not ground the brake wire at the frame near the wheel. They run both power and ground all the way up to the tongue, and run to a bolt drilled through the metal, and then it continues up to the ground connection on the plug, that goes to a ground on the truck frame. I just completed building a 16' trailer, and I did mine this way. When in Rome, do as the Romans do.
But they all do seem to use the frame for a ground for the lighting. So the spot where the brake wire goes up and is bolted to the frame at the tongue, is the spot where the lights are getting grounded from the truck.
