Back in Business!
I finally got my computer up and running.
Turns out some how a pin got bent on the 775 socket. What gets me is how I managed to bend just a single one. I got the usual "non repairable" and "non returnable" spiel from OTVTech but at least there wasn't a diagnostic fee.
So upon returning home, I got out the magnifier and a pin. I straightened it out and first try, no boot. I browsed FTE for a while and firgured I'd try again. Second time, I got power and I just finished reseting windows XP. I really didn't want to buy a new board.

You guys give up way to easy! Working on a computer is the same as working on anything else, just precise. And everything is really just plug into the right place.
Not hard at all!

I like plug and play but it hardly ever works that way for me....Lately I`m learning a little at a time, mostly too little & too late....
