Is it true that Sirius bought out XM? Anyone have one? I have a Sirius Stiletto. its a satellite radio with storage so it can be loaded up like a MP3 or Ipod.
Ive heard that, cant confirm 100 percent either. I just have a cheapo 40 dollar unit I got from canadian tire. I would die without the sirius in northern alberta.

I think they did in the US. In Canada I was told it would remain the same. My wife made me buy one so I got the brand new top of the line model.
I just bought a new deck that has the aux input. Wow does that ever make a difference in sound quality. I ran my antenna wire out the third brake light on the cab.
I have to wire mine directly. That transmitting via an FM channel is BS! I have to change the channel it communicates on to keep interference to a minimum as I travel. I think if the radio had one of those local/dx switches the 'local' feature may cut unwanted interference.

I know I wont go back to the wireless. We have only one FM station in the area but still the static is always in the background. It must be killer to try and find an open spot in the city.
I have the 100. I am on my second one and its shot again. Its the same problem as on the first one - the volume on the vehicle dock keeps deteriorating if thats an explanation. When new the volume went to max, then it starts to diminish and it only goes to about 2/3 now. The truck radio needs to be louder then and more hissing comes through. As much as I hate Future shop, they were the only ones who had the 100 in time for xmas a few years ago. We bought 4 radios (only one was a Stiletto) and they threw in the extended warranty on the stiletto (I never buy those!). The new model is a '2' version and a friend just got one. I talked to Future Shop and its another over the counter exchange - as well as an upgrade to the '2'. I hope its better! I only used it portable a few times but thats not why I got it. I wanted some recorded music along with satellite because its just like my satellite dish tv --> lots of channels but sometimes nothing worth tuning in to.
hmm yeah. I was looking at one but i want it mainly for portable. Ive got my starmate 3 in the truck but i would love to have a portable for at work or when riding. But it sounds like they cant even take the same amount of abuse as an ipod, which ive found to have a low tolerance for pain anyway
As a portable device it works well. The headset has the antenna in the piece that goes over the top of your head. It works in my house from the wi-fi signal from the wireless internet. I think the '2' series is going to prove to be a good unit. I am not sure I would go this way again - maybe a sat radio like you have and get some type of adapter to plug your mp3 or ipod into the radio. I dont think I will ever be using it portable much - maybe just into a home docking station for the house or lake.
I have a sirius too and it is great for those long trips. It great way down here too where we have no FM stations at all. As a bonus NO COMMERCIALS!!!!!!!!!
