I'm sure I'm going to explain this badly but, iirc the tc locks and unlocks at varying speeds while driving. "The Cure" keeps it locked because the unlocking provides slippage and creates heat in the tranny causing premature wear and possible failure. This fix is included in many of the currant upgraded "chips"
