Is it worth it ? Been thinking of doing it myself. How much of a hp gain? Why a 6.0 cooler?

 

The point of an air to air system is not to gain a qantitative number of hp. It simply cools the the incoming air allowing you to run the truck harder during high temp situations.

But ya, cooler air equals more dense equals more oxy.

 

I have seen a few guys dyno before and after and say they saw a 30hp gain BUT I don't know their fueling. When I put mine in I could hold WOT alot longer before I ran out of Pyrometer. It is a great upgrade if you can do it under $500.

The 6.0 cooler is larger than the 7.3 cooler. Here is a thread that talks about the IC options and sizes.

the more gross hp you are making then the more horsepower you will gain from adding the ic. in my truck i felt a 0 hp difference with install, however in the 500 hp trucks they say you will lose 100 hp if you dont add the cooler
