what I'm looking for is the heater controls that were scerwed to the underside of the dash.I can't remember what year used them.mid60's I think.the unit was about 6in. wide and hung down about 3-4 in. from the bottom of the dash and were slide controls not a pull type cable.Can't find them any place.Help!!
Also what were the stock 57 F100 controls like?

Not all heater types are shown in the truck parts catalogs. Heaters were considered an accessory back then and didn't become standard equiptment until 1/1/1966.
1961/66 F100/350 used two different bolted under the dash controls. One type for the fresh air heater, a different type for the recirculating (economy) heater.
Both these controls are cable operated-no levers that slide back/forth.
1949/51 & 1952/54 Ford passenger cars have a slide type lever on the cars heater control panel which bolts under the dash. The control panel states: Magic-Aire.
1957/60 F100/350's have a bolted to the dash heater control panel which is lever operated.
Ask someone who owns a 1957/60 to describe the system (and mebbe post a pic)...the parts catalog illustration is rather vague.
