Question Fuel Pick-up tube in tank

Is the pick up tube located where the metal line goes into the top of the fuel tank?

If you're refering to an in cab tank, the pick-up is a long tube inside the tank directly below where the metal line screws into the tank.

Not too sure how they may have cleaned it, as it is not removable.
Maybe a big 'ol pipe cleaner?

You might try a rifle cleaning rod

Well, I checked mine and it was not dirty. Infact, the tank was very clean inside so, I decided to tear into the carb. I found the power valve was blown and, there was a lot of silt in the botton of the bowl. After the overhaul, it runs like new.

I had a clogged pickup tube and used a piece of threaded rod just smaller than the tube and a lot of carb cleaner. It took some time but it worked!
