Sluggish 4.6
I've searched around some, can't come up with a definite answer, so wondering if anyone may be able to shed some light on my sluggish motor...
My 4.6l 4x2 auto is a bit sluggish in the low RPM range. I have to kick it to induce a gear change and get the engine revved up to get real usable power. The truck has 112k miles on it and at 100k I changed the plugs, wires, and coils.
I'm wondering if maybe the MAF sensor needs cleaning, or perhaps a weak O2 sensor. I hear that these things have to get pretty far out of whack to throw a code. I don't have any codes.
The interesting thing is, a few weeks ago I disconnected the battery while replacing the multi-function switch. After hooking it back up and driving the truck, I noticed it was quite responsive. It seems after a reset it's good to run, but over time performance degrades some.
Thanks in advance!
