Just checked eTrucker, the nationwide average as of this morning is 3.612. I wish that site gave some kind of information other than just state to state prices. This truly is getting out of hand.

I sure am jealous of you guys getting ANYTHING over 16 mpg. The best I have ever seen in the 1 year of owning mine is 15.5 mpg. I drive fairly conservative too! I really need to make a boost leak tester. Harumpfh

Are you running oversized tires? If you're truly driving conservatively you should be able to do better than that with the mods you have. Gear ratio? If you are running anything steeper than 3.73's even careful driving is not going to do you much good. I guess I can thank my lucky stars I got all of this toy crap out of my system back when I was still making big bucks and fuel was a whole hell of a lot cheaper.

I am the third owner but to the best of my knowledge all is stock with the exception of the things listed in the mod list.

If you have the money go to 4" straight exhaust and take a look at your EBP tube and sensor. I don't know how many miles you have on yours but a lot of members here have found their EPS tubes completely clogged at very low mileage.

Hmmm.

Too bad I have a totally different outlook on this whole fuel price thing. I usually don't respond to fuel price forums because they don't make sense to me.

I don't even care how much fuel is. I go to a fuel station that as of about a year ago, just took down their fuel sign numbers. There's a "$2 _ _ 9" after the gas and a "$3 _ _ 9" after the diesel listing. I go there mostly because of this reason. It's a full service place so they usually charge a little more anyhow. However, I fill the truck, pay for the fuel, and I drive another 400 miles. I HAVE to drive my truck. I HAVE to buy fuel. It's just one of those things. I never get worked up about the price. I can't afford to care.

Mark, The 4" exhaust is going to have to wait for now as I need new tires and shocks first. The sensor tube is a possibility. I tried to get it off, unsuccesfully I might add, last summer but that's before I "found" PB Blaster I will try that again as soon as it warms up a bit. I just did the EBPV delete a couple of weeks ago which I need to list in my mods. I forgot!

I not only feel violated, I feel helpless. One of the reasons I bought my truck was to have a "flexible" fuel vehicle, something that could run on bio just in case fuel prices reached a point I couldn't afford to drive to work anymore. Looks like that time is drawing near.

Anyone in Denver want to start up a "brew bio and drink beer" club?

Yeah what Dan said.

"Dubya" isn't the one that doesn't want to drill in ANWaR because of the moonscape errrr I mean "environment".

"Dubya" isn't the one that won't let the oil companies build a refinery since the 1970's.

"Dubya" isn't leading the two most populated countries in the world out of the stone age and into the later half of the 20th century at least.

"Dubya" isn't the one stopping the US from drilling off the coast of California where a huge oil deposit is.

"Dubya" isn't the one stopping the US from drilling in the gulf, even though Cuba, Venezuela, Mexico and freekin' China are.

I could go on and on, but you go ahead and be angry with the President instead of who really is responsible for the energy problems we are having.
I bet alll the tripe about healthcare seems important to you too.

Too much of that damned white crap there and the winter's are too long. Lived in Colorado Springs for awhile in my younger days. Move to the Carolina's and we'll talk and drink shop.

Everyone of these above statements is 100% fact!! Why can't the rest of America get their 'effin heads out of the only spot on their body that the sun don't shine on when standing outside in the nude and realize this. Health care is about the least of our worries in this land. If we could get rid of just half of the illegal immigrants our health care system would take care of itself. But no, the pansy liberals need the illegals for their voting base. Who else with half of a brain would vote for them in the first place. Do you want to continue supporting illegals with high tax's? Which by the way account for about a third of the fuel price we are paying today.
