Ckt#182, Pin #6 (rke), BR/W. Looks to me if removed it will over ride the remote lockout. But looks as if you will loose the auto lock feature. It does 2 jobs from what i can see.

AutoLock? I didn't think that OBS'ers had Auto lock? I De-activated auto lock on my mom's 02 F-150, Dad's mustang and explorer... Drives me nuts I'll lock the doors if I want them locked! I thought auto-lock didn't show up till superduty (99+)? (i'll assume that you talking about the system that locks the doors when you put it in drive, and un-locks when you shut the truck off... we all knows what happend when you assume though...

)

Bill I don't think it's anti-theft, like you had mentioned.. just locks and unlocks doors w/panic button. If you lock the doors and pull handle through window there's no alarm that goes off (although I got my hopes up... Anti-theft= insurance break

)

Nope no anti theft. Just my 6 cell mag lite!! So clip the wire and you can then lock your keys in your truck with the key fob. Sounds like a great plan! No thanks!

Ya that autolock is a screwy system...
The one thats even more annoying is the ones that lock at 15 mph and wont unlock themselves... dont remember the vehicle but that pissed me off.

Looks as can be done. If wanted. In my book its the same chit you still need to carry a key or fob. Battery last forever in the key

For 97 it shows as anti theft/pannic.
